Director of Finance leading the full finance function for a Four-Diamond, full-service destination resort in the Southwest. This visible, hands-on role requires a proven hospitality finance leader with strong hotel/resort accounting, strategic planning, and performance optimization experience. The position is a key member of the Executive Committee, partnering closely with operations to drive profitability, support capital planning, and sustain long-term financial health for a recently renovated, high-volume resort with a strong mix of group and leisure business.
Key Responsibilities:
Own all resort financial operations, including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for a $50M+ topline operation with a diversified group/leisure mix
Serve as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, providing financial insight, business analysis, and guidance on profitability and long-range performance
Lead and develop a team of seven finance and accounting managers, ensuring strong internal controls, accurate financial statements, and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
Direct the annual budget and forecast processes, ensuring alignment with revenue management strategies and overall asset objectives
Support revenue strategy and yield decisions by providing analytics on room, F&B, golf, spa, and ancillary revenue streams
Partner with regional and corporate finance, including the Regional Director of Finance, to execute financial initiatives and best practices
Provide financial leadership for a recently completed $30M renovation, including capital tracking and ROI analysis
Qualifications
Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience in full-service hotels or resorts
